The FrSky ultra mini R-XSR receiver is the evolution of FrSky full range XSR receiver. The R-XSR is a standalone receiver with all the functions of XSR including Smart Port Telemetry. In addition, it’s almost 1/3 size and 1/3 weight of XSR receiver! Full diversity is integrated into this tiny receiver and the IPEX connector makes it very convenient for antenna replacement.
R-XSR has had a bug that prevents Lua scripts from working. But a new firmware has been released that fixes this issue. You can download it here. Here's Oscar Liang's instructions for how to flash a FrSky receiver. If your receiver is already soldered into your quad, you can also flash firmware via serialpassthrough, but that's a more advanced topic.
Side Note: A version of the R-XSR is coming out soon that will have an un-inverted SmartPort output pin. No more uninvert hacks for you F4 users! We will get stock as soon as we can!
